Taiga International Trading S.r.l. was founded in the Italian town of Civitanova Marche back in 1992. In just a few years, it established its reputation in the wider international footwear and leather goods sector as a commercial representative and distributor of components, machinery and materials.
From the beginning, the company targeted markets in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, taking a successful, long-term outlook that has since seen it extend operations into the global marketplace and cement its status as the go-to partner for producers seeking to make their vision a reality.

Co-founder and CEO
Demetrio Biancucci
Promoter and founder member of TAIGA INTERNATIONAL TRADING srl, in 1988 he went to Russia and managed to seize the potential of this country. Thanks to his resourcefulness and innovative spirit he promotes the trade of materials and machines for all aspects of footwear production.
Head of accounts and administration
Maria Cristina Carlocchia
A founding partner at TAIGA International Trading, and head of the central admin office, Maria Cristina is responsible for the company’s relations with banks, the production of financial reports and all other tasks relating to its fiscal and financial obligations. When she is not tied up with numbers and red tape, she enjoys getting out into the countryside and the clean air of the mountains.

Arianna Natali
Having joined Taiga International Trading at a precocious age, Arianna has grown professionally in step with the expansion of the business, and has since become a partner in the company. She deals with client queries and orders, and will go to any length to satisfy every last request. Her great passion is travel.
Head of Purchasing and Supplier Relations
Erika Rossi
Erika is in charge of the Purchasing Office, and handles dealings with suppliers with her trademark poise and approachability. Over time, she has acquired a thorough technical understanding of all of the products supplied by Taiga, from sole units and fabrics to chemicals and machinery. Out of the office, she dedicates her free time to ice-skating.

Ecaterina Bolea
A native of Moldova, Ecaterina has lived in Italy for a number of years. She is fluent in four languages – Italian, English, Russian and Romanian – and is always on hand to provide information and ensure the client has a friendly, smiling face to deal with. She loves socialising and organising parties.
Logistics operative
Alfio Mazzante
Alfio is responsible for quality control and warehousing of incoming stock and for preparing outgoing orders. With characteristic attention to detail, he organises lorry and container loads in such a way that they take up the smallest amount of space, while still managing to ensure they are suitably packaged and positioned safely and securely. Away from the office, he is a keen reader and has a particular interest in cars, sport and photography.
Purchasing Office – Machinery technician
Gianluca Petrini
Gianluca is the go-to specialist for any sort of technical information, particularly when it involves machinery and mechanical components. He is always on hand to help identify, assess and inspect any item or request that comes in. He has been given the nickname “tuttofare” – the handyman – because even in his spare time, he loves nothing more than taking apart and reassembling motorcycles and other machinery.

Marzena Jesionowska
She moved to Italy from Poland over 20 years ago and has been working in Taiga for 15 years. She can speak and write Polish, Russian, Italian and English and supports the client relations team with multilingual communications and translations of sales orders and contracts. In the office, her impeccable dress sense and interest in fashion has earned her the nickname “fashion blogger”.

Clarissa has worked in accounts throughout her career, and joined the Taiga accounts team around 10 years ago. When she isn’t sat at her computer, she can usually be found on the court indulging her passion for volleyball.
